Art of Loving Advice

Question:
One of my best friends who's a girl, kissed me. I started to realize that I liked her, and we made out a couple times. Now, she tells me that she doesn't want a relationship, and that she thought it was just "fun" for both of us, and she didn't think I would interpret it the wrong way. This was my first kiss, and I feel horrible that she did this to me. She says she's really sorry for hurting me and that she's learned from this. However, she says I have to forgive her if our friendship will continue. I feel like if I forgive her, I'm losing a battle empty-handed. What should I do???

Forgive, forget, and move on with your life. You sound quite young and I would not worry about having a relationship at this stage in your life. Get on with your life, enjoy, and have fun. You may kiss many young ladies before finding the one for you. If this young lady is truly a good friend and you want to maintain the friendship, than forgiveness is key to maintaining your friendship with her in the future.
