Question:
i have a problem that i wanted some advice on. i like this guy who i've been very close friends with for several years. we talk every day, but i dont get to see him much this past year since he's moved. the past few times ive seen him, he's gotten 'friendly'. he acts like he really wants to see me, but whenever i bring up the topic of visiting, he gets all edgy and defensive, and claims he doesnt have time. is he just putting it off because he doesnt want to see me, or is it something else?

I would suggest writing him a letter, and telling him how you feel about him. If he does not respond -- forget him and move on with your life. Your friend may be hiding the fact he is involved with another woman; or that he does not feel the way you feel about him. Direct honest communication is the only way to resolve this once and for all.
In closing, I would not expend any further energy on this person. There are lots of nice men in the world -- go out and find the one for you.
